Our children recently learned about Oscar Romero and how he was the voice to the voiceless. He taught others to 'aspire not to have more but to be more.' During his three years as archbishop, Romero repeatedly denounced violence and spoke out on behalf of the victims of the civil war. He was shot dead on 24 March 1980, aged 62, while celebrating Mass.
Oscar Romero became a saint on 14 October 2018. Our school was recently awarded the Participator level 1 Oscar Romero award!! Huge congratulations to all the children and staff for achieving this. We look forward to continuing our Catholic Social Teaching and work towards achieving the Developer level 2 Oscar Romero award.
