Carol Service

Our Sunday Carol Service included a range of carols, nativity tableaus, readings, school choir songs, church choir hymns and candle bearers. Students, parishioners, staff and governors enjoyed coming together for this delightful experience. Our parish was filled with hope, peace, joy and love.

 

This time of preparation during Advent is supporting the children to fully understand the true meaning of Christmas.

 

Candles

1st candle Hope - Prophecy candle (Purple)

We remember the prophets who foretold the birth of Christ

 

2nd candle Peace - (Purple)

We remember the message of the angels "Peace on Earth and Good Will towards all." We are called to make straight the paths for the Lord in our own hearts and in the world around us.

 

3rd candle Joy - Gaudete Sunday (Pink)

We remember the joy that the world experienced with the birth of Jesus. It marks joy and generosity to others. How can we reach out to those in need?

 

4th candle Love -  (Purple)

Brings us close to the heart of the mystery of our faith: the birth of Christ.

 

5th candle Jesus - Light of the world (White)
