First Holy Communion

Our Year 3's made their First Holy Communion at our parish, Corpus Christi Catholic church. They attended weekly evening classes which supported them in their spiritual journey and development. This preparation helped the children to fully understand the importance of receiving Jesus through the special Sacrament. Father Saju welcomed the children and carried out monthly masses to support them in their preparation, as well as carrying out the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Members of the parish were given a prayer buddy, whereby they would pray for a child who was preparing for their Holy Communion and the communicant would pray for them.  A special thank you to Tina Kirk and all the catechists who devoted their love and time to the First Holy Communion children.
