St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School

St Vincent de Paul

Charlie visited our school and gave a superb talk on St Vincent de Paul. He spoke about St Vincent's life and his acts of love, which surrounded helping the poor. Charlie explained how we can make a difference with the initiation of our Mini Vinnies. This was very inspiring for our students. It spurred them on to actively be part of the Common Good.

The SVP at our parish help to support families in need at our school. They collect food items which are gathered in the Narthex after mass and taken to school every Monday. These items are then packaged into food parcels and distributed to the families. We are dedicated to reaching out, echoing the Gospel's call to care for the least among us. Our charitable initiatives reflect the essence of Catholic Social Teaching focusing here particularly on preferential for the poor.
