Catholic Social Teaching

Catholic Social teaching tells us how our Catholic faith guides our actions.

Catholic social teaching (CST) is rooted in Scripture, formed by the wisdom of the Pope and Church leaders, and influenced by grassroots movements. It is our moral compass, guiding us on how to live out our faith in the world.

Pope Francis - Head of the Catholic Church

The Pope wrote a letter in 2015 called Laudato Si inviting everyone on the planet to care for our common home. We all have a responsibility to make the world a better place.

Catholic Social Teaching is an important part of who we are and what we believe at St Margaret Clitherow. It is carried out in different ways within our school, local community and globally. We discuss the CST principles every day. Here are some examples of students demonstrating their understanding of CST at school through role play.
