NEWSLETTER No 8 – 16 October 2020

Dear Parents

In our ‘live’ Zoom assembly with Yr3 we took our theme from the parable of the banquet in St Matthew’s Gospel 22.  The children wondered if the wedding garments we are meant to wear are the qualities of friendship, generosity, love and forgiveness amongst others.   They have obviously been reading St Paul’s letter to the Colossians!

We have received the photo proofs, which have been given out to children to bring home this week.  You can order online or through the school by returning the envelope provided with your proof.  These must be back with us by Thursday 22 October to be collected by the courier.

We are pleased to say that the new Autumn menu will be uploaded onto Parentpay at the end of next week. Please remember to book before Friday 30th October (at midnight) for the following week.  We would recommend that you book for at least two weeks though you can, of course, book for the whole term. Please do discuss food choices with your child so they know what to expect.

We are getting booked up with our viewing mornings but do still have some available dates. You are very welcome to come and have an external tour of our school. Those that have a sibling due to start next year, as well as new families, are very welcome!  Please phone the school office to make an appointment. All parents – even if you have a child currently in school - will need to complete both our school’s Supplementary Information Form and also KCC’s Primary Admissions Form by 15 January 2021 for entry next year.  This form can be downloaded from the website – Admissions/Admissions Policy 20/21 (page 5).

Parents have until 2 November to submit their applications online to KCC at . Our school’s reference is: LEA: 886 and DFE: 3744. Please remember some schools, such as St Gregory’s require parents to complete their own Supplementary Information Form which has to be countersigned by their Priest or Minister. Please let the school office know your school choice.

I will be available to have a telephone conversation with parents who wish to discuss their child’s options for secondary school in September 2021. Please phone the school office if you wish to make an appointment.

CHRISTMAS CARDS – Tom Tugendhat and KCSP

There have been some wonderful designs received – thank you.  It is not too late, the deadline for Tom Tugendhat is Wednesday 21 October and KCSP’s deadline is Friday 6 November 2020.

Just a reminder that there is NO PARKING on site except after 4.00pm if you are collecting from ARC.  Please use the top gravel car park only.  Parents who have been given permission by me due to medical reasons, may park on site as agreed.  We thank you for your understanding and cooperation with this.
