Ash Wednesday - we start our journey to Easter

Our display at the front of school, reminding us of our Lenten observances

Lenten Promises

These were shared as part of our Lenten Liturgy in school. Each class discussed what being a blessing could mean and then decided how they would like to show this throughout Lent.

This Lent we will be a blessing to others by…

  • listening when someone needs our help
  • looking after property with extra care inside and outside
  • encouraging everyone to reach their dreams
  • being eco-friendly so that we take care of God’s creation
  • by sharing
  • by always being respectful
  • by loving everyone equally and looking after our world; using less plastic, doing litter picks and turning off lights after ourselves
  • making them smile by being helpful and caring
  • by remembering not to take the little things for granted
  • by not talking when we should be listening to show our good manners
  • by loving everyone
  • by being good listeners
  • by being tolerant of others
  • by being a good friend to those who are sad or worried

If we carry these out, we will most certainly all be blessings to those around us.
