ST MARGARET CLITHEROW CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL
We started the week off with a Panto on Monday, which the children thoroughly enjoyed! The joyous shrieking and general hilarity was testament to the fun had by all!
On Tuesday, KS1 enjoyed their festive Christmas dinner, and KS2 embraced the Christmas party spirit during their class buffets.
We ended the term today with a thoughtful Christmas Assembly retelling the story of the birth of Jesus through words and tableau, accompanied by carols. The choir sang “The Angels’ Carol” beautifully for our delight. Thank you to all our volunteer helpers, members of the PTA and Governors for all that they do for us during the year, we greatly appreciate your support, as it makes such a significant difference to our school! We were so pleased that many of these people were able to join us for this special Assembly. This was followed by a much anticipated, and exciting visit to every classroom from Father Christmas!

ELECTION OF PARENT GOVERNOR TO THE ACADEMY COMMITTEE
Following the recent request for applications for this position, we received one application, and therefore we will not need to go to ballot. We are very pleased to appoint and welcome Karolina Cowling as our new Parent Governor, and we are sure she will represent our school community admirably.
School resumes on Monday 7 January 2019. All are welcome to join us at school to celebrate the beginning of term Mass on Friday 11 January at 9am.
May I thank you very much for all your kind words and gifts to myself and the staff and I wish you all a very merry and blessed Christmas and a restful break.
